Our mission at Therapy Village, LLC is to provide compassionate and effective counseling services tailored specifically for children and adolescents. Through a nurturing environment, we aim to support children in overcoming challenges, fostering resilience, and discovering their strengths.
We offer individual counseling sessions for children and adolescents ages 5-18 to treat common issues such as: anxiety, depression, conflict resolution, managing feelings, relationship building, adjustment issues, social concerns.
Molly Weaver is co-founder and co-owner of Therapy Village, LLC. She graduated from Auburn University with a BA in Psychology and Sociology. She received her Master of Arts from the University of North Alabama in 2009 and obtained her license to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. After receiving her Master’s, Molly worked at a community mental health center providing individual therapy services to children and adolescents in the school setting. She also supervised clinicians and was a coordinator for an in-school program, as well as, a therapeutic summer program for several years. Molly has been in private practice since 2016 and co-founded Therapy Village, LLC in 2019. Molly has spent the majority of her career working with children and adolescents on a broad spectrum of issues, including depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, and ADHD. Molly is a Mom to one son and two dogs. She enjoys teaching group fitness classes, traveling and new adventures, and spending time outdoors.
Sharon Tucker is co-owner of Therapy Village, LLC. She is a licensed independent clinical social worker. She received a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Alabama in 2014 and a Master of Social Work from The University of Alabama in 2015. Sharon has worked in the mental health field since 2001, holding several positions with a community mental health center. She provided basic living skills, family support, individual therapy, and family therapy for children and adolescents. She also served as the coordinator for a therapeutic child and adolescent summer program and therapeutic preschool program. Most recently Sharon served as program manager for the center's children's services. Sharon joined Therapy Village, LLC in 2020. She is experienced in working with children and adolescents on mental health issues including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-esteem, and ADHD. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, friends, and her sweet dogs, Daisy and Otis.
Sarah Rhodes Schmidlkofer received her Master of Arts from The University of North Alabama in May of 2010 in Community Counseling. Soon after, she began her work at a nonprofit agency working with grieving children and teens. She has worked with groups, families, individuals and in-school counseling. Since joining Therapy Village, LLC in 2019 Sarah has worked with children and adolescents on a broad spectrum of issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, self esteem and ADHD. Sarah's approach to working with children and teens focuses on personal strengths and developing coping skills through a variety of methods including art and play techniques. Sarah is a wife and mother to a son, daughter, 2 cats and a dog. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, cooking, and listening to podcasts and music.
Erin Howard received her Master of Social Work from The University of Alabama in May of 2007 with a concentration in Children and Families. During her time as a graduate student, she was selected for an internship with the Alabama Department of Youth Services, which began a passion for working with children and adolescents, specifically in mental health. Erin briefly continued working with adolescents who were involved with the Department of Youth Services prior to beginning work in community mental health here in the Shoals. Over the next 13 years, she gained experience in this setting by working with diverse populations, from preschool-aged individuals to the elderly, as well as leading groups and working in substance abuse.. When the chance to join Therapy Village, LLC came in 2021 Erin jumped at the opportunity to reconnect with her professional beginnings. She uses diverse techniques including development of coping skills and personal strengths to help clients tackle behavioral concerns, social skills, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and other challenges. Erin enjoys spending time with her husband and son. Her hobbies include singing, crafting, and art.
Paige Motes received her Master of Arts in 2016 from the University of North Alabama in Community Counseling. She proceeded to work in a community mental health setting while gaining supervision to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Working in public mental health afforded Paige the opportunity to work with a large and varied population base including children and adults with severe mental health issues. Next, Paige worked in addiction recovery before joining private practice. At Therapy Village, LLC, Paige works with 5 to 18 year olds who are dealing with issues ranging from anxiety and depression to OCD, ADHD and other behavioral issues. Paige is a loving Cat Mom and enjoys watching movies and reading books in her free time.
Molly (Hughes) Hodge is our office assistant and client collaborator. She is often the first person you encounter whether that be from communicating through the phone, writing to us via email, or walking through the front door. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in family studies and her Master of Social Work from the University of North Alabama. Since joining Therapy Village, LLC in December of 2021, Molly has developed a deeper passion and love for working with children to help them realize their strengths while cultivating positive interactions. In Molly’s free time, you can find her sitting court side at her husband’s basketball games, playing with her dogs Mobley and Luna, or enjoying down time with her family and friends.
